Synchronizing Shadow
Synchronizing Shadow is a performative-interactive installation for two participants, foregrounding tele-presence as a condition for embodied relation.
Separated by screens, participants attempt to follow each other’s shadow in order to generate a shared dark area. Without verbal communication, synchronization becomes a visual and bodily negotiation. The project explores (un)known empathy — an emergent relational sensitivity formed through mediated separation rather than mutual understanding.
