Imagination Ping Pong
A performative spatial system that uses collective imagination as a research tool to trace shared visual patterns and emergent archetypal forms.
This project investigates imagination as a collective cognitive process, rather than an individual or purely internal one.
It asks:
What kinds of repetitive visual elements emerge when people imagine together, and how might these repetitions point toward shared subconscious archetypes?
The act of imagining together brings participants into close proximity with their subconscious, not through introspection, but through relational imagination. As visual repetitions accumulate across participants, a shared intuitive field becomes perceptible. This emergent synchronization — traced through recurring images and patterns — is precisely what the project seeks to observe and measure.
